Adam Marquez

Baritone Saxophone/Vocals

Being raised by a piano teacher and spending his formative years performing in church and with family, significantly influenced him to pursue a career in music and inspire the next generation of musicians.

His first recorded album was in high school at the local community college while he began transcribing and arranging music for the high school jazz band. In college, he continued to write music and run a band that was able to have numerous recordings from at home to the professional studio.

While attending Berklee (Boston, MA), he was invited to tour with the band, Kings of Nuthin’ on a four country-long musical experience. With his own band, he completed two national tours in the United States under the name Johnny Vs the Ninjas.

After college, he continued his pursuit of a music career in Los Angeles, CA, writing and producing with Los Lobos Locos and touring for three years. Following each performance while on tour with Los Lobos Locos, bands would invite him back to their home where they would continue playing music together and he would be able to share some of his knowledge with other musicians on the road.

Finally he married his wife Elaine, got a Master’s Degree in Education, and now teaches full time while raising their four children. He has written a large portion, recorded, mixed, and mastered both albums for Epic XVIII which are available online and playing on air throughout various parts of the country and internationally.
